I must admit that i have not watched the Wire. I heard an interview with the author and creator, he was a investigative journalist covering the so called drugs wars... I suppose that is why it has been praised as so realistic... after your comments i must try to see it. more…

Thanks for reading and leaving comments. I posted this blog at a low time and feel better today about it all.
My answer to myself is that it is precious and rare to fall in love and therefore you should be ready to fight for your relationship if it is special especially if you feel that your partner is in the same state of mind.

I hope that you can because it sounds like you will be a good one although my ideal mum would not have a job except for staying with me because I do not like the way work makes people go out all day long and then I am on my own :¬) more…

I do not understand why society STILL blames 'The other Woman' for the breakup of a family. Perhaps this goes all the way back to the Adam and Eve story where Eve gets the blame for tempting Adam with the apple. He did not have to eat the apple! people tend to forget that these family guys are the predators, not the other way about, they conceal more…

I don;t give money to beggars, but I fully support the Big Issue as it is an actual solution to the problem of homelessness - it works for many of them and as it says on the front "Not Begging but Working" which is true. The magazine is actually decent too, I admit I don't read it all... but even John Bird said in his column that you shouldn't buy more…

Guys, thanks for your quick comments.
I am actually really shellshocked by what happened and concerned about the future. Yes I am worried but I am even more worried about these who are in a less good position than mine. And I am worried that those in a less good position are actually a majority.
I am not feeling invulnerable, far from t more…

this is my first recession (yay?) experience and already the tone is starting to turn bleak. I've noticed Aldi becoming more crowded and sainsbury and tesco more empty. People check labels thouroughly for a search for a better deal as well.

full of despair about that programme ond others of it's ilk. Despair because it is so popular which causes me to shake my head at the amount of craving amongst so many for the dream of instant fame and all that particular lifestyle has to offer! As long as it remains so popular, this and the others will remain. more…

I do not like X factor it is not my cup of carrot juice because everyone is all about making people look silly and feel bad and I do not think we need any more of that on the telly really but I do like other ones like the singing one with the choirs where it is more just a competition and everyone is really good but I thought the wrong one got knoc more…

I remember been sent to bed as a child, and laying awake listening to the opening credits of Star Treck. I would come out onto the landing and call down,
'I know what you are watching.'

I always like to go to bed late and lie-in in the mornings and I reckon that is the proper way although it is not easy because my friend Helen always wants me to come to sleep but I made up a rule where if I have started to watch a programme even if it is late then I must be allowed to finish watching it and that seems to work very well :¬) more…
